Tinsel, Boxes, and Office Chairs: The Festive Move and New Beginnings


Well, well, well, folks! Picture this: a winter wonderland, Christmas carols on repeat, and a truckload of office supplies instead of Santa’s sleigh—and we're moving! .... really?


Yes, we decided to make our grand relocation to Redlands Yard, in the middle of the jolliest season of all. Who needs chestnuts roasting on an open fire when you can have packing boxes piled up to the ceiling?


So, here's the scoop: as everyone is winding down and cosying up with hot cocoa, we’re on a mission to jingle all the way to our new shop. What a time to be alive!


Cue the Dramatic Music: Moving Day at Christmas!


First things first, let's talk about the decorations. Picture baubles hanging off the moving boxes, tinsel wrapped around desks, and fairy lights guiding the way through the labyrinth of stacked chairs. It's like Santa’s grotto, but instead of toys, we've got reams of printer paper and a whole lot of enthusiasm.


You know that awkward moment when you're unsure whether to pack the mistletoe or the stapler first? Yeah, that's us right now... and were did I put the card reader????


The joy of finding the perfect tree pales in comparison to the thrill of finding the box marked "Important Stuff – DO NOT LOSE" amidst the sea of bubble wrap.


Now, let’s talk about our big 'ol opening day on January 2nd. Who decided that was a good idea? Picture us, still surrounded by empty bottles, empty glasses and thick heads, and having a profound discussion about whether the microwave should go on the bottom or top shelf.


But hey, it's a new year, a fresh start—what better way to kick it off than with a chaos-coated shop just about to open to the public?


The Adventures of Unboxing!

Unboxing is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get. As each box is opened, it’s like a mini-Christmas morning—except sometimes, instead of finding gifts, you find that thingymajig missing its base or a rogue paperclip that found its way into a box labelled "Tech Equipment."


But amid the madness, there's a camaraderie building, a collective understanding that we're all in this tangled web of packing tape and bubble wrap together. Teamwork makes the dream work, especially when the dream involves finding the kettle before someone declares a state of emergency.


And there you have it, folks! A move during the most festive time of the year, setting up shop amidst the remnants of tinsel and Christmas cheer.


Here's to a new year, new premises, and the ongoing search for the office teabags—may they be found before everyone resorts to cold drinks.
